Y.O.U.R.S. (Youth Opportunities Underlining Resilient Solutions) builds a pathway to community empowerment and peace through three core operational branches: youth programs, community workshops, and signature public events.

We offer Faith Based and Community Based programing to ensure that youth & young adult learn core values , build skills and develop a moral compass.

Y.O.U.R.S. actively works within the community by offering several targeted programs, workshops, and community events:

  • Workshops & Training: We host anti-violence workshops and career development training sessions to prepare the next generation of leaders.

  • Hip-Hop Healing Summits: A recurring series that brings together youth, community members, and individuals within the hip-hop culture to foster healing and unity.

  • Peace & Fellowship Events: We organize community gospel concerts, bookbag giveaways, and interfaith services aimed at promoting neighborhood peace.

  • Surveys & Advocacy: We conduct initiatives like the "Know Your Rights Survey" and workshops to educate and advocate for local youth.

1. Youth Programs & Leadership Development

These foundational programs focus on providing urban youth and young adults with practical life skills and creative outlets:

  • Career Development Trainings: Focused technical and skill-based sessions designed to equip young people with the competencies required to transition successfully into professional paths.

  • Your Vision Community Choir: A recurring public program that recruits and unites local community members to learn, practice, and perform vocal arts together.

  • Google Career Training: An integrated web program track (listed as a work-in-progress) meant to provide certified technological skill pathways.

2. Workshops & Civic Action

Y.O.U.R.S. targets neighborhood safety, legal awareness, and self-advocacy through dedicated community sessions:

  • Anti-Violence Workshops: Educational sessions targeted at providing young people with communication-driven tools to de-escalate situations and curb community violence.

  • Know Your Rights Initiative: Public civic-awareness programming centered around the Know Your Rights Survey, which gathers youth feedback and teaches essential constitutional and civil protections.

3. Events & Public Series

The organization is highly active in creating large-scale seasonal events, often leveraging music and spiritual community gathering spaces for healing:

  • Hip-Hop Healing Summits: Collaborative regional summits combining musicians, community advocates, and youth to address inner-city challenges and personal growth through hip-hop culture.

  • Peace & Praise Gospel Concert Series: Collaborative musical performances held at regional centers (such as the Harlem Community Center or Marcus Garvey Park) designed to promote community unification, provide giveaways, and support youth initiatives.

  • Bookbag Giveaways & Interfaith Services: Coordinated neighborhood drives paired with multi-faith services focused on family peace and providing school supplies for kids.
